Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin - 1st [A] - EX UK vinyl LP album (LP record) Tracklisting / Additional Info: More Details This highly sought after first pressing of the classic debut Led Zeppelin album was available for a very short time before the sleeve was replaced with the orange lettered design. The first orange sleeves retained the 'Uptight An' Outtasight' Atlantic Appreciation Society flash on the back, although this was soon replaced too. The first orange sleeve copies contained either the unscratched matrix vinyl or the slightly later scratched out matrix vinyl that continued for the rest of the plum & red label presses, with erroneous publishing credits on Side One. This is the very first turquoise lettered sleeve with matching unscratched matrix vinyl. Condition The sleeve remains in a fantastic condition. Apart from some light indentations in the laminate on the back, where a previous owner has written out the tracklisting, otherwise minimal shelfwear. There are just a couple of very light laminate creases that would be almost impossible not to see on a sleeve of this type. It is obvious that this copy has been really well looked after, which is good for us and good for you. There are just a few spindle marks evident around the centre hole, the Side One label has a small faint 'RS' stamped, otherwise very clean with no paper loss. The vinyl remains in a wonderful condition, strictly graded as Excellent, with just a couple of light surface scuffs. We have professionally cleaned & played tested both sides. There is a small amount of pops & crackles at the start of each side which is to be expected, however once the album gets going the sound quality is stunning with minimal signs of being fifty-two years old.
