The poster has no pin-holes, with three folds vertically and three folds which have resulted in splits at three intersections, none of which exceed 1" as well as several lighter creases which are all but flattened out. There is a split of just over 1" in the 'D' of the title and a 6" tear just under the bottom-right text box, both with no paper loss. The edges of the poster are mostly still sharp, aside from the right hand edge which has some creasing and two small splits at the folds; careful framing would keep any noticeablilty of such defects to a minimum and not detract from the overal image.
The poster has been stored well keeping acid-yellowing moderate, only really visible as ghosting in the white of the text boxes, with a few light spots of foxing here or there. The colours still retain a trashy and vivid arrogance, really reviving an era of when brash American culture came crashing into austere post-war UK, with a youth populace ready to embrace it.
A fantastic item of ephemera which given its disposable nature had no real right to survive sixty years; one wonders how many others did?

release under Anglo American Distributors; an early, genre-defining
Drag Racing thriller, starring Lori Nelson and Chuck Connors as well as
Roxanne 'The Wriggle' Arlen.<BR><BR>Billed as a 'Speed-crazy Rock
'N' Roll rampage', the trailer advertising for the movie made great play
on the modern soundtrack, boasting such talent as Bud Shank,
George Auld and Barney Kessel amongst others. The poster uses a
colour palette consisting of red, white & yellow with crude but effective,
almost comic-book graphics, which contrast with the much more
detailed painting used on the American poster [possibly a comment on
a surging USA and declining UK?] and boasts a striking title font with
the 'U' certification directly underneath. Great play is made on the
scenes of action, with boxes of text urging 'SEE: To-days teen-agers!'
