KING TUBBY meets THE UPSETTER At The Grass Roots Of Dub (1974 UK first issue 10-track vinyl LP on the black & white Fay Music label owned by Winston Edwards, which was treated to first releases straight from the studios of luminaries such as Perry, Tubb and Gibbs. This slab of early, heavy dub was instrumental in establishing the genre in the UK, and being an underground release, these initial copies vanished almost immediately. The picture sleeve shows the consoles used by King Tubby and The Upsetter, giving an additional thrill to lovers of vintage audio equipment! The sleeve shows just the lightest touch of shelfwear and the vinyl is an amazing Near Mint. For an album of this genre to be in such condition is astounding, given how many would have suffered during late night sessions and DJ sets; this is the ultimate, no need to upgrade copy! FMLP304).
