Hawkwind Autographed In Search Of Space Sleeve UK memorabilia

Let's get the basics out of the way to start with ...
The vinyl is included and shows a few heavy scuffs although it still plays through without fault. We're talking VG-/VG here as it's been played well too. This is more something to frame than something to play.
The important part is the back panel of the sleeve with the blurred image of Stacia in mid-twirl. The sleeve shows extensive edge scuffing and the fold out sides have been ripped off at some point, but it's all here. It looks like it was signed at some point during the Do Re Mi or Space Ritual period, or even during Lemmy's 'probational period' following Dave Anderson's sudden departure, all in red marker pen with suitable comments, by Lemmy, Del Dettmar, Dik Mik, Nik Turner, Bob Calvert & Dave Brock. I suspect, but have no way of confirming, that Stacia has added 'xxx Everything' as it looks like her writing between Lemmy & Bob Calvert's signature.
Hawkwind being Hawkwind, they've gone for signing all over Stacia rather than against their pictures inside, but as Lemmy wasn't actually on this album it kind of makes sense.
What you have here are the signatures of all the key players that made Spaceship Hawkwind such a treat. Bob & Lemmy are sadly no longer with us. The chance of geting Dave Brock & Nik Turner together to sign something again is unlikely. Del is in Canada & Dik Mik is wherever Dik Mik is.
As an aside, Lemmy got his 'probationary period' in Hawkwind as he was Dik Mik's flatmate at the time and had never played bass before. He moved up though, as on subsequent tours he often shared a room with Stacia.
By framing this back panel, which would hide the edge scuffing, what you will have here is a staggering nearly complete memento of the early Hawks, just before they took off in earnest with a fairly stable line up until 1975. Simon King may not have even joined the Hawks when this was signed as it could well have been the period where Terry Ollis was aided or replaced by Twink or Viv Prince, which might explain why his signature isn't there with the others.
This is a tarnished jewel, but a jewel nonetheless and a unique snapshot of a time long passed and sadly missed ...
