The front cover has Roy's unhurried, freeflowing signature in black biro, beautifully offset against the white background & adjacent to Lon Goddard's striking artwork. This is so nice it would be ideal for framing.
The vinyl itself is a clean VG+/EX- example & a very difficult piece of wax to find in its own right. The rough textured Strike labels are unblemished & there are just a few faint spindle marks by the centre hole to show play. The vinyl is incredibly clean & on close inspection, there is some mild axial wear & the odd faint paper hairline visible in the odd area or two, which have very little to no effect on play. This is an outstanding play copy & one of the few to survive, with any surface during playback all but obliterated when on a mono setting.
The wraparound proof artwork sleeve is a serious find in itself. It features the layout design as intended for both laminated panels, with an oversized edge. Some historic tape is found in two corners of the spine, all part of its construction & discussion of the layout process. It remains in Excellent condition & rounds off a near unique piece for any serious sixties collection.
