GASPER LAWAL Ajomasé (Autographed 1980 UK advance for the 7-track LP, a cosmic Afrobeat/Ju-Ju delight in the same vein as King Sunny Ade's Island trilogy. Includes 'Kita Kita' comped in recent years on the defining Nigeria 70 compilation. Lawal was often called up throughout the seventies by any number of high profile groups & artists including The Rolling Stones, Funkadelic, Ginger Baker & Vivian Stanshall. The glossy picture sleeve is signed, dedicated & dated [July 1980]on the back in blue biro with a personal message: 'See you in Africa soon'. This advance copy includes an insert detailing thoughts from Gasper on each track as well as three promotional posters for the record! The spine is tape reinforced due to some paper tearing but otherwise the sleeve appears Excellent & the vinyl is clean with few signs of play CAP1).
