The Rolling Stones Through The Past Darkly - 1st (a) - Oct UK vinyl LP album (LP record)

Tracklisting / Additional Info: |
Most copies of this that you find have been in the wars a bit. The narrow spine was prone to splits and tears, the octagonal inner just inviting you to pick it up by the wrong edge, only to see your precious album slide to the floor. The single width front panel, thick card or not, was almost always the first casualty, as it was inevitably bent to crease the laminate to a greater or lesser degree.
For some strange reason, this copy isn't like that at all. If you make a special request through our sales team, we can beat it up a bit for you before we send it out, but if you're happy to have a very peculiar near 'as new' copy in your collection, we'll leave it just as it is, but people will stare at you and point.
Where to begin ?
Ok. The Vinyl. Near 'as new' with almost no sign of play at all. That's that done then.
Moving outwards, there's the custom design octagonal inner, designed to show the blue print through the die cut hole on the back of the sleeve to tell you it's stereo. This is covered with Elephant droppings and the remains of a small decaying ... Well actually, it isn't. It's white as white and not even creased a little ! Call yourself a Rolling Stones album ????
With me so far, yes ?
The sleeve ... well ... I've been doing this lark for a fair while now since the Directors first saw me at a soup kitchen and bought me thinking I was a custom copy of 'Aqualung'. When they realised their mistake, they chained me to a chair & I've been doing this ever since. One day I'll be allowed to sleep. In order to earn my keep and get my straw bedding changed, I really have to tell you something about the sleeve, don't I ? But what ? Aha !!!!!! There are miniscule scuffs to two of the eight corners !!! That's it though. I guess this straw will have to do me for another ten years, but I did try.
This is as near to perfect a copy as I have ever seen.
If I'd have just left this description as that one sentence, they probably wouldn't feed me either.
Unbelievable. Forty five years after this hit the shops and it still looks like it was one of the better ones that got to the shops and that it never came out again.
Someone's bank vault loss is your gain. Grab it quick, because you won't get another like this.
