JULY July (Very rare 1969 Brazilian first [& only] issue of the 1968 12-track mono LP with Major/Minor credits to the labels & sleeve. This LP was produced in extremely small numbers, making it actually rarer than the UK version. Originally released on Major Minor in the UK, this superb release went largely unnoticed at the time, but is now held in the same high regard as Tomorrow, Blossom Toes, The Koobas and many other luminaries of the UK Sixties psych scene, with awesome bitingguitar, rich harmonies, sitar, bongos, and above all, inventive songwriting. Apart from a couple of small splits that have appeared in the top & bottom seams as a result of forty years of storage, the fully laminated picture sleeve shows just a few light creases and a little edgewear, with the spine text still remaining clearly visible. The labels display only minor spindlewear and the vinyl itself reveals very little indication of play with surface noise kept to a minimum throughout. Far from the norm with Brazilian releases of this age, which are normally found wrecked with torn sleeves & an abundance of writing, this copy shows no such defects apart from those already mentioned.
