ERIC CLAPTON Clapton, Collins, Phillinganes, East 87 (1987 US
twenty eight page full colour tour programme, measuring 9½" x 13½",
which has been FULLY AUTOGRAPHED inside by Eric, Phil
Collins, Greg Phillinganes & Nathan East. Thesesignatures were
obtained by Colin Smythe. For many years Colin was Eric Clapton's
assistant tour manager, working on many of his 1980s concerts &
tours. On August 26th 1990, Clapton played the Alpine Valley Music
Theatre, Wisconsin, alongsideStevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble,
Robert Cray and Buddy Guy. Following the show Colin Smythe, along
with Clapton's agent Bobby Brooks, his bodyguard Nigel Browne and
Stevie Ray Vaughan boarded a helicopter bound for Chicago.
Tragically, the helicopter crashed shortly after take-off, killing all on
board. This item has remained with Colin's family ever since that
painful day over twenty two years ago and we're honoured to be
offering it now for the very first time).
