DIZZY REECE A Variation On Monk (Rarer than-thou 1958 UK-only 7" mono EP on the highly collectable British jazz label, Tempo Records, with purple & white intact tri-centre, also starring Sammy Walker (who replaces Joe Harriott, who couldn't make the session), Norman Stenfalt, Lennie Bush & Phil Seamen. Typical of jazz records from the fifties, the front laminated flipback sleeve shows discolouration on the back, but has nonetheless survived its smokey environment well. There is edge scuffing, creasing and peeling to the laminate, however the print is still perfectly legible. The condition is a respectable VG-

Despite noticeable scuff marks, the vinyl is perfectly acceptable and plays to a very commendable VG+. Sounds fine, with all instruments cutting through nicely and no real interference to detract from the enjoyment of the music and comes highly recommended.

We doubt we'll ever see one of these again... you know what to do!
