PETER TOSH Legalize It (2011 Japanese exclusive First Pressing Legacy edition Remastered 32-track 2-CD album - Originally released in 1976, 'Legalize It' was Peter Tosh's debut album and, following years spent as a core member of The Wailers, announced with a bold statement his arrival as a solo artist. Although famous for its title track's celebration and promotion of the usage of marijuana, the album mixes Tosh's political stance [attacking the hypocritical 'shitstem' and thebrutality of the Jamaican police] with humour and melodic infectiousness. Featuring guest appearances by heavyweights of Jamaican music and members of The Wailers and Peter Tosh's backing band, Word, Sound and Power [Bunny Wailer, Carlton and Aston Barrett, Sly & Robbie, Al Anderson, Rita Marley, Mikey Chung & Bobby Ellis], 'Legalize It' includes highlights such as 'Why Must I Cry', a song co-written with Bob Marley, which explores failures and struggles in the personal and wider sense; plus 6 Bonus Recording and a bonus CD packed with Dub Versions and Original Jamaican Mixes.
