JAZZ AT THE PHILHARMONIC ALL-STARS At The Opera House (1958
US 3-track mono LP, recorded during the 1957 JATP Concert Tour of
America, on the deep groove 'Trumpeter' Verve label, featuring as
usual a revolving door of personnel, this time including such greats as
Lester Young, Illnois Jacquet, Flip Phillips, Sonny Stitt, Oscar Peterson,
Ray Brown, Herb Ellis & Jo Jones on Side One & Stan Getz, J.J.
Johnson, Roy Eldridge, Coleman Hawkins, John Lewis, Connie Kay &
Percy Heath on Side Two, pasted picture sleeve. The sleeve shows
just a littlelight shelfwear with a couple of areas of mild discolouration,
not unusual in anything [or anybody] over fifty years old, while the
vinyl is immaculate - a very nice copy indeed! MGV-8267).
