What they also noticed is that many of the younger generation of players were stranded in a kind of musical limbo. Uninterested in the endless Buena Vista re-treads which abound in the tourist centers, many musicians lacked a musical homebase. The Revolution project unites several of the most promising musicians Winfield and Yoshizaki encountered with producers like Norman Cook [aka Fatboy Slim], Rich File [UNKLE], Poet Name Life [Black Eyed Peas], Guy Sigsworth [Bjork], Marius De Vries [Sugarcubes], and Cameron McVey & Jan Kybert [Massive Attack] for an album which combines Cuban musical tradition with Western production techniques and styles.
