THE GOLDEN DAWN Power Plant (2009 UK limited 'Deluxe Edition' 10-track digitally remastered CD album - Taking their name from the esoteric teachings and philosophy of the Hermetic Tradition, The Golden Dawn hailed from Austin, Texas, and formed in 1967. 'Power Plant' [recorded for the legendary International Artists label in Summer 1967, but not released until 1968 to allow IA to promote the 13th Floor Elevators' 2nd LP, 'Easter Everywhere'] features inspired acid-spiked folk rockguitars and intelligent psychedelic-inspired lyrics. The emotional range is remarkable for a debut album - from the searing acid punk of 'Evolution', through the classic pop-inflected psych of 'My Time' into the brooding introspection of 'Reaching Out To You'. Presented in a sealed hard-backed book-style sleeve complete with a 16-page illustrated booklet containing an insightful interview with the group's leader and driving force, George Kinney, in which he gives a unique track-by-track run-down of the album's songs) **Strictly Limited to 3000 Copies ONLY**.
