Tracklisting / Additional Info: |
Originally recorded in December 1954, Merrill's eponymous debut album features the vocalist in top form joined by Danny Bank on baritone and flute, plus a four-piece rhythm section including guitarist Barry Galbraith and Jimmy Jones on piano, arrangements provided by Quincy Jones. This early Merrill/Brown session is highly enjoyable and now considered something of a classic, thus comes highly recommended.
