PLATINUMWEIRD Platinum Weird (Scarce 2006 US Interscope promotional only box set - a superb collection created to help reinforce the mythology behind this hoax band. The set contains what are supposed to resemble 'lost/recovered' cassette demo tapes, plus tickets/handbills to 1974 concerts/appearances that never really happened plus two pin badges. Also included is a set of photographs which have been made to look old by being bent and creased plus two copies of the 12-track CD-R acetate of the album. All are housed in a distressed retro-style fake red leather carry case with yellow stitching and yellow metal handle - attached to the handle is a '1974 Fan Club' tag. As if that wasn't enough, we have included the press pack for the album as a bonus. This comprises a press release, sheet of press cuttings and two 8" x 10" publicity photographs of Dave Stewart and Kara DioGuardi!)

Tracklisting / Additional Info: This fantastic item contains 2 'lost/recovered' cassette demo tapes, tickets/handbills to 1974 concerts/appearances that never really happened, two pin badges and a set of 6 photographs which have been made to look old by being bent and creased. These comprise two of the band in what appears to be a badly lit alley, two of them apparently performing on legendary UK TV show 'The Old Grey Whistle Test' and two of Dave 'with' Ringo Starr and Harry Nilsson!

Also included are two copies of the 'Platinumweird' 12-track advance promotional CD-R for the 'Make Believe' album, which includes the Stateside single release 'Will You Be Around'. Custom printed disc, picture sleeve and back insert for each.

All housed in distressed retro-style fake red leather carry case with yellow stitching and yellow metal handle. On the top is a rectangular black & white artist name sticker and circular colour sticker; attached to the handle is a '1974 Fan Club' tag.
