(2008 UK 84-track 3-CD set - one of the most innovative & influential independent record companies of its time, International Artists has gained cult status over the years, particularly amongst fans of prime American psychedelia & garage rock. Based in Houston, Texas, the label thrived under the expert guidance of its driving force, Lelan Rogers, brother of country legend Kenny Rogers! Starting out in 1965, the label hit paydirt with release #107, the 13th Floor Elevators' 'You're Gonna Miss Me', and went on to offer a home to many superb bands, including The Red Crayola, Golden Dawn, Thursday's Children, Bubble Puppy [who gave the label their other big hit single, 'Hot Smoke & Sassafras' in 1968] and many more! Presented in a deluxe clamshell box with a 48-page booklet with a full discography and reprint of Jon Savage's legendary 1978 interview with Lelan Rogers!)
