VARIOUS The First & Second Esquire Concerts Vol. 1 & 2 (1974 UK FOUR LP set, featuring live tracks recorded at New York's Metropolitan Opera House on January 18th 1944 with an all-star line-up including Billie Holiday, Jack Teagarden, Coleman Hawkins, Art Tatum, Louis Armstrong & Lionel Hampton, as well as the following year on January 17 1945, with Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Billie Holiday, Art Tatum & the like, top of the bill at the Philharmonic Auditorium, LA & at the Municipal Auditorium, New Orleans. All four parts are housed in their respective front laminated picture sleeves & all covers are near mint. The vinyl discs appear excellent to near mint with minimal evidence of play SAGA6922/3/4/5).
