Our man in Japan knows the rarity of this record when found with its original obi-strip. The rarity of that little paper wrap even dwarfs the extreme rarity of the album itself! To find one complete & intact in any condition is incredibly difficult.
The cover itself was taken at the same shoot as the US 'Are You Experienced?' cover but the photograph was then lost for over thirty years, making it only available on this unique sleeve from Japan for some time.
Condition :-
The all-important packaging is in Excellent condition with very little sign of wear to the sleeve. The artwork has lost none of its impact & all print is clearly legible including along the spine. Very nice, indeed.
The insert reveals the lightest few spots of foxing associated with Japanese paper goods over time. The monster rare OBI strip, which is as hard to find as a 'Dodo' bird, is fully intact & in Excellent condition with no fading & minimal edge scuffing. In the words of our chief buyer, this is 'The King Of OBI's' for Hendrix rarity & this one has no major defects.
The vinyl grades a healthy VG+/EX- with a deep sheen both sides & no writing on the labels. There are some minor paper scuffs & the odd faint hairline which has little to no impact on play, completing a very rare package indeed, especially COMPLETE!
