The amazing history of these unused weekend tickets is contained in the attached letter.
The original purchaser returned the tickets to the Marquee Club with a covering letter explaining that the tickets arrived Saturday morning, the 8th August, by which time he was already at Richmond for the Friday evening session.
He consequently paid another £2 (the tickets were 20/- each) for another pair of weekend tickets at the venue and then returned the original tickets with the letter, also stopping his cheque payment.
Recovered from the dusty vaults of the original Marquee Club, this extraordinary item has both tickets with their two tear off stubs (one for each day) intact PLUS the letter explaining the return PLUS the original stopped cheque PLUS the covering slip from the bank giving the reason for non-payment of the cheque!
