The iconic cover has been historically taped across all edges. The laminate & the flipbacks are still intact & the spine is clearly legible. All album notes are unblemished, despite areas of paper loss around a few edges.
The vinyl is considerably marked all over but luckily none of the scratches are deep enough to cause any skipping or jumping although I certainly wouldn't recommend playing it on your audiophile turntable !
It plays surprisingly well & Elvis can be clearly heard above the ever present, although not too obtrusive 'frying bacon' ambience. As far as actual groove WEAR goes, it is in quite fair condition & sounds very nice (Even with the bacon!)
The labels are clear, bright & unmarked with spindle wear at a minimum, indicating light play in contrast to the heavy handling.

The sleeve on this copy has been heavily tape reinforced at the opening but it IS complete.
The spine has lost all its wording from paper scuffing & there are many edge splits. The cover has lost 90% of its laminate & even the creases have creases. There are several small areas of paper loss to the image on the front.
The back has fared better although it too has laminate loss. The historic album notes are legible & the flipbacks are still just about there.
There is sticky residue due to the heavy tape reinforcing, so we have kept the cover in a crystal clear see-through sleeve, making both copies much easier & nicer to handle.
The vinyl is considerably marked all over but luckily none of the scratches are deep enough to cause any skipping or jumping although I certainly wouldn't recommend playing it on your audiophile turntable !

SUMMARY :-
The condition of 'No. 1' makes it almost worth the price of admission alone, with 'No. 2' being a pleasing bonus. Having come from the same source, we decided that we'd like to keep the family together if possible :-)
This is without doubt the cheapest way of getting these classic rarities from us into that missing 1% of your collection and, whilst a world away from being mint, they're still acceptable as copies that have 'been there, seen that, done that' for the last fifty odd years.
Whether you wish to play them, admire them, just wonder at the history they encapsulate or decide to make an amazing talking point framed display for them is up to you.
This was the birth of Rock 'n' Roll & these two were AT the party !
