This legendary album is far from 'easy listening' but is none the less an essential 'must have' in any collection. Mr Van Vliet & his astonishing band took the conventional ideas about music & composition & turned them completely on their heads to create an album which still, to this day, stands as one of the benchmark recordings in history.
This copy has the ORIGINAL Straight catalogue numbers, meaning that it was the first release in October 1969 before changing to the more common 2MS2027 number in January 1970.
Both sleeve & vinyl are in fantastic MINT condition with no trace of ringwear on the sleeve, which has a custom 'PROMOTION - Not For Sale' sticker on the front & the original insert & inner sleeves also in MINT condition. These sleeves, like a lot of US sleeves, were notoriously prone to ringwear & it is rare indeed to find a US album of this age which does not exhibit at least some evidence of this.
