Although counterfeited, this textured paper picture sleeve is a genuine original, and one of the best you are ever likely to see. There is no ringwear fading and no centre-seam splits - the record was removed from the sleeve and stored separately soon after this was first purchased. The only blemish on an otherwise superb sleeve is small split at the top of the left seam, beginning at the top-opening record aperture and following down the left side seam for just 1.5cm.
The front cover is predominantly blue, with blue-tinted black and white facial portraits of each of the five band members. The titles are printed in yellow, pink and red and retain their punchy impact, even after 34 years! The 'advert' back cover shows a selection of nine other Philips label LPs and the colours remain bright against the black background.
The vinyl is Excellent - there are traces of previous use in the form of hairline surface marks, but definitely no deep scratches, skips, pops or jumps. Surface noise is audible on the intro, outro, and in quieter passages of music - particularly on the quiet intro to Part 2 on side two - the powerful mono mix is still impressive and packs a heavyweight punch.
Undoubtedly one of the best, from England's finest prog rockers!
