The Rolling Stones England's Newest Hit Makers - The Rolling Stones US Promo vinyl LP album (LP record)
|
| Tracklisting / Additional Info: |
What more can you say? This is a white label promo copy of the debut album of the Greatest Rock And Roll Band In The World!
The labels are white with black print. The perimeter print along the top of the label states 'Made In England' (as all first issues of this and the next 3 albums were). Below this the statement NOT FOR SALE in bold black letters. The London logo is boxed and alongside it is the ffrr and ear logo. The catalogue number LL.3375DJ is in line with the centrehole (to the right). There is no writing or blemishes on either side of the label.
The matrix numbers are machine stamped into the dead vinyl. Since the vinyl was pressed in the UK, they are UK matrix numbers and are as follows
Side One XARL 6291-3A Side Two XARL 6292-3A
Unfortunately the vinyl not mint, however there is no exclusive content on this album. The book value of a mint copy of this album is $3000/£2000 - but should a mint copy ever surface it would fetch much more as it is considered to be of near equal value as The Beatles Please Please Me black and gold Parlophone label! Visually the vinyl on this one exhibits many light marks on both sides. When played it was surprisingly free from jumps or skips. The quieter passages and track breaks had some background noise and crackle but nothing to spoil the overall 'feel' of the album.
The pasted picture sleeve is in great condition. The front shows none of the ringwear so common in sixties US sleeves. It is stickered in white with black text proclaiming 'Promotion Copy Not For Sale'. In the bottom left hand corner is the photo offer statement. The edges are free from splits and the spine print is clearly legible.
The rear of the sleeve has some writing in red felt pen (see picture)The writing is dated 1965.
Included is the original London advertising inner plus the very rare full colour bonus photo of the dark and moody David Bailey band image used on the front cover. The photo is free from tears, writing or folds.
A true rarity at an adventageous price - unlikely to find another copy in any condition!
