The Rolling Stones December's Children (And Everybody's) Colombian vinyl LP album (LP record)
|
| Tracklisting / Additional Info: |
The labels are unusual in that mono records on the London label generally have red labels, whereas the labels on the Colombian issue are blue with silver text.
The 'ffrr' and ear logo are at the top of the label. Underneath is an unboxed London logo with the text 'Long Playing' & 'Full Frequency Range Recording'.
The area around the spindle hole is clean with no marks, indicating careful handling and very little play.
Below the spindle hole is the album title and tracklist. The perimeter text reads as follows:
"Manufacturado En Colombia Par Importaciones Daro Ltda."
The Matrix numbers are machine stamped, they are as follows
Side One ARL - 7031-1A Side Two ARL - 7032-1A
The heavyweight vinyl is in absolutely wonderful condition, which is rare for albums from Colombia. Colombian vinyl in this condition by any artist is a real find so finding a half a century old Stones album in such condition is sure to generate interest.
The picture sleeve has a textured matt finish and features the same Gered Mankowitz photograph used on the US LP, however it is highly unusual in that the sleeve opening is at the top. In the top right hand corner there is a gold and red sticker with the word 'Monofonico'. This is because the same sleeve was used for both the mono and stereo copies of this album. The rear of the sleeve is blue toned with text by Andrew Loog Oldman.
The light cover shows some inevitable corner creasing from ring wear but this is mild & both panels remain clean & stunning looking. Due to the lightweight card used there are two very thin 3" hairline splits at either side which is forgiveable.
The heavyweight vinyl reveals some natural cosmetic wear either side which is very light & has little effect on play. This is an Excellent vinyl example, which is virtually unheard of for a Colombian pressing of this vintage.
