Hackett’s fifth solo album released in 1981 marks a shift toward a lighter, more pop-oriented sound while retaining his unmistakable guitar tone and atmospheric flair. Featuring Hackett taking on lead vocal duties for the first time, the album blends melodic hooks with his trademark instrumental finesse. Highlights include the bright and catchy ‘Hope I Don’t Wake’, the serene instrumental ‘The Air-Conditioned Nightmare’, the elegant ‘Picture Postcard’, and the uplifting ‘Can’t Let Go’.
