This Italian original has survived in remarkable condition. The flipback picture sleeve is laminated on the front only. The unprotected back cover shows evidence of age-spotting around the edges but is otherwise excellent. The flipbacks are secure and there are no seam splits. The spine text is clearly legible.
The orange CBS labels have texture but are not as 'rough' as UK originals.
Side 1 has glue residue where a sticker has been removed. Neither of the labels carry any publishing credits for Blossom Music or Kidney Music.
Both labels and the sleeve state Stereo Mono - this is a stereo pressing and plays accordingly. The label perimeter text states 'Made In Italy' and the back cover has a 'CBS ITALIANA S.p.A. Milano' address and 'Distribuzione Messaggerie Musicali - Milano - Roma' text.
The vinyl is near Mint condition. There are some light surface marks upon close inspection but no scratches or flaws. It's fair to say that Italian pressings are not the best in the world, but this example is manufactured from heavyweight vinyl and carries the machine-stamped UK matrix numbers, so it was pressed from a UK master. Overall it plays as an excellent condition record should.
It is genuinely scarce to find Italian original LPs - let alone Dylan ones - is such great shape as this.
