Cold Fact - US - VINYL LP    More of this title 
SIXTO RODRIGUEZ Cold Fact (Very Rare Folk-Psych 1970 US 12-track stereo LP on the tan Sussex label, a cult classic from the Detroit based artist which sadly bombed in the States. Rodriguez went on to enjoy a complete career revival, mainly due to his huge success in South Africa [as documented in the 2012 film 'Searching For Sugar Man'] which, pre-internet, was kept quiet from him with not a penny's worth of sales going his way [it was also said that he hoaxed his own suicide onstage!]. This is a brilliant snapshot of those post-Dylan semi-psych protest song times & deserving of a much wider audience. Comes housed in a pasted picture/lyric sleeve with black background image. The delicate cover is Very Good with light discolouration, mainly to front. There is no writing & all print remains legible. The vinyl is graded strictly VG with the odd light scuff, mainly to Side A; this is the Sonic (US) pressing issue. Some light background/ambient noise may be audible in quieter passages. A must own! The album sold poorly upon release but has since become a treasured gem, a lost album th at turns out to be a genuine classic. Picture sleeve with lyrics printed on the back, factory sealed. Recommended)
