tgwilt Conneaut, Ohio USA Created Thu 27th Sep '12 21:19 (GMT)Review This recording is well worth the money. At this point in time, it is increasingly difficult to find classical music recordings on vinyl. I was looking for John Eliot Gardiner and the English Baroque Soloists on vinyl, but this recording rivals that performance. Original instruments, fine interpretation, and the records were in perfect condition. I would recommend this to any Bach aficionado without reservation.[reply to this topic ]
Re: CONCENTUS MUSICUS WIEN conducted by NIKOLAUS
HARNONCOURT Messe in H-moll (1968 German stereo five sided triple
LP box set, also featuring the Wiener Sangerknaben, Chorus
Viennensis, with Rotraud Hansmann & Emiko Iiyama [Soprano], Helen
Watts [Alto], Kurt Equiluz [Tenor] and Max van Egmond [Bass]
complete with twenty page illustrated libretto in German & English in a
pasted picture box. The box shows a little shelfwear with some
discolouration in places but remains complete and intact. The booklet
shows rust to the staples but otherwise remains in nice condition. The
vinyl is in EX-/EX condition with just light surface scuffs to show for its
fifty years. An acceptable, if not mint, copy at an advantageous price
