Air Records Lots of questions surrounding this release.. Nobody at Chrysallis would ever deny or confirm it came from them.. Suspicion was always that it was an "industry" bootleg, put out by the label to make them margin profit but not pay the band

Review: Blondie Thrills with new album Panic of Girls Blondie has once again presented us with an eclectic album reminiscent of Autoamerican with a sampling of various musical genres. This first thing that struck me as a serious Blondie fan and collector is that with this album, as with Deborah Harry's last solo album Necessary Evil, is that she has departed from collaboration with long time composer for the group, Chris Stein. For a serious Blondie fan, you can hear the difference when Stein has no longer composed the music. Nevertheless, the album remains strong. There are four versions of this album available with differences in bonus tracks or studio tracks. This Japanese CD has the 11 basic tracks common to all. D-Day is a strong rock song that is not about the WWII battle, but a personal reference to Deborah Harry, for which the D stands. What I Heard is a strong rock track written by new collaborators Matt and Laurel Katz-Bohen. Mother, already a hit single in the UK, is a pop tribute to a club Harry once frequented. The End The End is a ballad of long term commitment in love. Girlie Girlie is a cover of reggae hit. Love Doesn't Frighten Me is a Katz-Bohen song. Words in My Mouth is a song originally written for Shirley Manson of Garbage that Harry recorded herself. Sunday Smile is another reggae cover. Wipe Off My Sweat is a venture in Tejano music, the Texas-Mexican style with dominant Spanish lyrics. Le Bleu is a Stein song in the French cabaret style. China Shoes is the only Harry/Stein song to make it to the album which is the strongest, most personal song typical of older Blondie songs. But, what the Japanese CD provides that no other release does is the Beatles' cover Please Please Me. It is why I bought the Japanese CD. Blondie does not disappoint. Harry does a strong vocal rendition with a few changes to the lyrics for a female vocalist. If you are a Blondie fan, you must invest in the Japanese CD to get this track.

Written and recorded in a number of locations in the US and produced
by Jeff Saltzman [The Killers] and Kato Khandwala [My Chemical
Romance, Papa Roach], 'Panic of Girls' promises to encapsulate the
true character and spirit of the sound of Blondie; and includes the
single 'Mother' plus a cover version of 'Sunday Smile' by Beirut who
also guest appears on the album as well as the Bonus track

Review: I may never know what this actually is I collect Blondie/Deborah Harry extensively. I already had two copies of the Maria 2 track promo attributed to theoriginalBeatcLubundergrOuNdsexgodDessIconfrEaks. When I saw this listed on EIL as the album NO EXIT promo, gift wrapped and unopened, I bought it for its collectable value. But, the US authority on all Blondie pressings spoke to me on the phone and had me describe the dimensions of the wrapped CD. He then told me that it was NOT the album No Exit, but the Maria promo single CD. He too had the Maria promo unwrapped and wrapped. And although neither of us have unwrapped these, we are confident that they are NOt the album, but the single promo. But, it becomes almost worthless if you open it to find out. It is a mystery.

Review: no unique Blondie content in this release I own the rarest red and yellow saw tooth edged 7" single of this item. I bought it thinking that there was a Bloodless Pharaoh cover or remix of X-Offender. But, when I got it, I found that it was the original album track of X-Offender. The B side is Bloodless Pharaohs' Bloodless Pharaoh. It is produced by Jimmy Destri of Blondie. Why the released an old, previously released track, I do not know. I have corresponded with the webmasters of The Complete Blondie Discography and the official Blondie websites. They had no explanation as to why this product includes X-Offender as well as Bloodless Pharaohs. For collectors, the multiple color vinyl 7" with the saw tooth edge is more valuable than this CD version.

Blondie - Personal Collection "Personal Collection" was issued free with a copy of "The Mail on Sunday" newspaper. It is not for resale so it is only available in second-hand shops.
The album cover does not indicate exactly who is singing/playing, nor when and where the recording was made. The back cover shows a picture of the album "Blondie - Live by Request". If the singer is Debbie Harry she has lost the distinctive sound her voice had in the 1980s. In my opinion the album is not worth much more than I paid for it - nothing.
