matt UNITED KINGDOM Created Wed 31st May '06 16:36 (GMT) | | 60s Punk Gods! Glad to see this winner on the site! One of my fave 60s garage LPs, largely due to the phenomenally 'loud' and compressed production, and properly (and legitimately!) mastered for a change! Normally an LP mostly full of covers wouldn't do much for me; this is definitely the exception! | [reply to this topic] |

180gram VIRGIN VINYL; originally released on Warick in
1967, this was the debut album from the Minneapolis garage band,
and although largely ignored in their time, the band have since
attained legendary status among collectors of rare 60s garage punk,
best known for their stand-out anthem 'Action Woman' - thanks to the
'live' and overloaded production, every cut burns with an unusual
intensity as the group thunder through cuts by their favourite British
Invasion bands including The Who, Small Faces, Yardbirds and
Spencer Davis Group [incidently, original copies often change hands
for up to $1000!], sealed picture sleeve with interview insert) View this product
