WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM Estuary (Retail Exclusive Limited Edition 2026 UK/EU 6-track LP pressed on 140 Gram Black Dust Vinyl)
The eighth studio album from the Olympia, Washington black metal band, pioneers of Cascadian Black Metal since their formation in 2003. After more than twenty years, Wolves In The Throne Room continue to rise with sharpened teeth and unparalleled strength, and 'Estuary' stands as their most ferocious and genre-bending record to date.
The album carries the hallmark of the band's unyielding dedication to the physical craft and analog production techniques, executed with zero cut corners. Massive percussion and seething gothic guitars wipe the listener's psyche clear of all stagnation, transforming it into a conduit for evolution and renewal. Rich with alchemical and archetypal imagery, the record operates like eagles and wolves descending upon desolation and entropy, activating the dormant domain with magic and lethal essence.
The bulk of the album was produced and recorded at the band's own Owl Lodge studio in Olympia, Washington, with drums tracked by Nicholas Wilbur at The Unknown, a converted former church in Anacortes, Washington. Wolves In The Throne Room will be performing Estuary on the 'Knights of Tiamat Tour' across the UK and Europe this winter, followed by the USA and internationally in 2027.
Housed in a gatefold sleeve with an 8-page LP booklet. Recommended.
