CHET BAKER Chet Is Back! (Limited Edition 2026 UK/EU 8-track LP pressed on 180-gram Orange Vinyl, individually numbered and limited to 1,500 copies. Recorded in January 1962 at RCA Italiana Studios inRome, exactly one month after Baker's release from an Italian prison, Chet Is Back! takes its title directly from that return, an album AllMusic has called one of his finest bop and hard bop recordings. Backed by a young sextet of rising European musicians, including Belgian saxophonist Bobby Jaspar and guitarist René Thomas, Baker moves through bop standards by Thelonious Monk ("Well, You Needn't"), Sonny Rollins ("Pent-Up House") and Charlie Parker ("Barbados"), alongside ballads including "Over the Rainbow" and "Star Eyes." The record was released only in Italy at the time and didn't reach American listeners until decades later. This edition is housed in a deluxe sleeve with linen laminate finish, individually numbered from an edition of 1,500 copies. Includes an insert and gold hype sticker. Recommended).
