FILA BRAZILLIA Black Market Gardening (30th Anniversary Edition 2026 UK/EU 9-track double album 2-LP pressed on 180 Gram Black Vinyl)
The third full-length from the Hull duo of Steve Cobby and David McSherry, first released in 1996 and now reissued for the first time on vinyl since 2001. Over nine tracks the pair guide the listener through hazy, bass-heavy trip hop, cosmic synth lines, brisk breakbeats, funky guitar riffs, and a touch of drum "n" bass, blending deep house, downtempo, breaks and ambient with wry humour, sampling anything they can get their hands on.
Fila Brazillia"s output fits squarely within the chill-out tradition prevalent in the UK in the mid-1990s, but their creativity and boundless approach to the studio process makes their music timeless. The duo has released seven highly regarded albums and more than 60 remixes for artists such as Radiohead, Busta Rhymes and Lamb. For fans of Kruder & Dorfmeister and Nightmares On Wax. Recommended.
