VOODOO GLOW SKULLS Firme (Numbered
Limited Edition audiophile
pressing 2026 UK/EU 16-track LP pressed on
180-gram Green Vinyl, limited to just
400 individually numbered copies)
The 1995 album
that became one of the high points in popularity for the
seven-member ska-punk outfit from Riverside, California.
Formed in 1988 by brothers Frank, Eddie and Jorge Casillas
and their longtime friend JerryO'Neill, Voodoo Glow Skulls
started at backyard parties and went on to play shows with
the Angry Samoans, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Firehose,
Murphy's Law and The Dickies.
Unlike some more
laid-back performers in the genre, Voodoo Glow Skulls are
heavier on the punk part of the mix, resulting in consistently
fast-paced and chugging song structures that occasionally
erupt into triumphant horn breakdowns and chanted group
vocals. The album includes "Fat Randy", one of the group's
more convincing ska-punk hybrids. Picture sleeve includes an
insert and gold hype sticker. Recommended.
