SEPULTURA Beneath The Remains (Metal Matters Series 2026 UK/EU 9-track LP pressed on 140-gram Black Vinyl. Recorded over two weeks at Nas Nuvens Studio in Rio de Janeiro in December 1988, Beneath the Remains was Sepultura's firstalbum for Roadrunner Records and the breakthrough that established the Brazilian band on the international thrash scene, produced by Scott Burns, fresh off working with Death and Obituary. The lyrics draw directly on real events the band witnessed growing up in Brazil, giving the record a genuine, lived-in weight beneath its speed and aggression. The album's cover, a Michael Whelan illustration, was originally commissioned by Roadrunner for this record, but the label handed it instead to Obituary's Cause of Death, and Sepultura ended up using a different piece by the same artist. This edition is part of the Metal Matters campaign, bringing long out-of-print vinyl titles back into circulation. Picture sleeve with hype sticker, factory sealed).
