12-track LP pressed on classic black vinyl. Widely regarded
as one of the finest MCs to come out of Harlem, Big L was on
the cusp of wider stardom when he was shot dead in early
1999. He wasbrought into hip hop by Lord Finesse, who
introduced him to D.I.T.C. and produced several of the beats
on this, his only album released during his lifetime.
Lifestylez mixes sharp punchlines, bravado and vivid
crime storytelling, anchored by singles "MVP" and "No Endz,
No Skinz," alongside the cautionary "Street Struck." Two
posse cuts stand out in particular: "8 Iz Enuff" and "Da
Graveyard," the latter featuring Grand Daddy I.U. and a
then-unknown Jay-Z. Picture sleeve with original cover
artwork and hype sticker, factory sealed. Recommended) )
