numbered, limited to 750 copies. Chicken Shack formed in
1965 around founding guitarist StanWebb, and by the time of
this, their third studio album in 1969, had already passed
through the ranks of Christine Perfect, later Christine McVie of
Fleetwood Mac, who departed the band that same year and
was replaced by Paul Raymond, later ofUFO and the Michael
Schenker Group. Recorded for the storied British blues label
Blue Horizon, <I>100 Ton Chicken</I> balances blues
standards against originals written by Webb, the band's sole
constant member across six decades and still active today.
The album includes the single "Tears In The Wind" and a
cover of Davey Graham's folk masterpiece "Anji." Picture
