The third studio album from Anita Baker, originally released on Elektra Records in October 1988 and the commercial and critical peak of her career. Giving You The Best That I Got became Baker's first and only US number one album, her second number one R&B album, and was certified three-times platinum by the RIAA in 1989. The title track - co-written by Baker with Randy Holland and Skip Scarborough - was released as the lead single and became her highest-charting US single, peaking at number three on the Billboard Hot 100. The album earned Baker three Grammy Awards and three Soul Train Music Awards. Reissued on vinyl for the first time since 1988.
