EDITORS The Back Room (2012 UK/EU 11-track LP pressed on classic black vinyl. The debut album from Editors, The Back Room arrived in 2005 with sharp-edged minimalism and a stark emotional intensity that quickly set the Birminghamquartet apart. Mercury Prize nominated and certified double platinum in the UK, it climbed to No. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and has since surpassed one million sales worldwide. Driven by taut guitar lines, propulsive rhythms and Tom Smith's commanding baritone, the record includes the Top 10 single 'Munich' alongside 'Bullets', 'Blood' and 'All Sparks'. From the clipped urgency of 'Lights' to the expansive closer 'Distance', the album balances post-punk austerity with widescreen ambition. Housed in a gatefold picture sleeve, still in opened shrink.
