Recorded during a landmark six-show residency at London's Rainbow Theatre in May 1977, this intimate live performance captures Elton John alongside percussionist Ray Cooper at the dawn of their now-legendary live partnership. These concerts marked the beginning of more than 230 Elton-and-Ray shows to come, and featured the live debuts of lesser-performed deep cuts such as "Roy Rogers," "Cage The Songbird," "Idol," and "I Feel Like A Bullet (In The Gun Of Robert Ford)." Released on vinyl for Record Store Day 2025, this expanded CD edition marks the album's first-ever release on compact disc, now enhanced with a brand-new bonus track, "Goodbye," and liner notes exploring the story behind these iconic shows.
