Tracklisting / Additional Info: Decca Records is proud of the part it has played in raising the awareness of British Jazz in recent years, particularly the homegrown talent that coalesced in the '50s, '60s and '70s, some of whom we have brought to a new audience through reissues and new releases in the British Jazz Explosion series.

Decca are now delighted to shine the spotlight on virtuoso saxophonist, flautist, vibraphone player and composer, Tubby Hayes, with a new LP entitled Splonge! An Introduction To Tubby Hayes. Compiled by filmmaker, author and passionate Tubby Hayes fan Mark Baxter, this collection brings together ten tracks originally recorded for the Fontana label between 1961 and 1969, in a bid to answer the question, "Where do I start?"
