Jimmy Raney (Limited Edition 1990 US Mosaic audiophile 40-track
THREE CD Box Set, showcasing the legendary tenor saxophonist Getz
alongside guitarist Jimmy Raney, with their complementary cool-tone
& hard-swinging styles which began with a gig at Storyville in Boston
on October 28, 1951. This led to five classic studio sessions from
1951-53, with a supporting cast including pianists Al Haig, Horace
Silver, Duke Jordan& Hall Overton, all collected here & expertly
remastered from the original master tapes. The discs are kept
between three album jewel cases with their individual picture inlays,
mounted in a robust plastic backing tray complete with an individually
numbered 12-page booklet featuring rare & stunning black & white
session photographs, extensive notes on the tracks & a complete
session discography, all housed in a beautiful 12" pasted & textured
