THE MILES DAVIS QUINTET Cookin' (Rare 1957 Danish first press 5-track mono LP on the Metronome label, with 'RVG' [Rudy Van Gelder] machine stamped in the run-offs, also starring John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers & Philly Joe Jones. Comes housed in a fully laminated flipback picture sleeve. Obtained from a one previous owner collection of original 1950s jazz rarities, the sleeve [VG+] remains nice & clean with no writing. All print, including the spine & the artwork shines strong - there is a crease in the top & bottom left corners, causing a slight distress to those edges. The heavyweight vinyl remains clean & in Excellent condition with only some very faint cosmetic signs of play. The Cookin' album was the first of four from the Quintet's extended recording session of October 26, 1956 - it remains an essential Prestige-era Miles album that never ages!).
