Recorded at the end of a tumultuous decade [August 1969], 'Bitches Brew' reflected the chaos and beauty of a society stretched and stressed to its breaking point. This genre-bending, barrier-smashing album of boldly new music with dense textures and lengthy performances broke every rule of commerciality. This set is comprised of 16-track 3-CD album, including the original 'Bitches Brew' LP in its entirety, a live Concert at the Tanglewood/Berkshire Music Center, Lenox MA, August 18, 1970, previously unissued in CD3 plus a bonus DVD featuring previously unpublished concert footage, recorded live at the Tivoli Konsertsal, Copenhagen, Denmark, November 4, 1969. Housed in a booklet-sized digipak picture sleeve with a 44-page color book with a 5000 word essay by Greg Tate, notes by Michael Cuscuna and Richard Seidel and interview)
