Background
Back in 1985 the band signed a deal with Music For Nations to release their debut album, Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good, in the UK whilst being licensed from Combat Records their US label. After the release they then embarked on the follow-up which was also due to be released on the same label, co-produced by Dave Mustaine & Randy Burns.
They completed the recordings for the album, however before it was released they signed to Capitol records. Within a space of a few months the album was remixed for a Capitol release by Paul Lani, meaning the original Randy Burns mixes ended up being unused and shelved although test pressings were pressed and withdrawn not long after.
These mixes were not available and test pressings that did make it into the wild became an instant must have. In 2011 the group released a 25th Anniversary edition which featured the original mixes on a bonus disc.
This was the last album to feature drummer Gar Samuelson and guitarist Chris Poland, who were fired shortly after the album's original promotional tour.
Condition
The plain sleeve shows very little signs of age, and as you can expect it simply a company sleeve so has really very little importance. The copy sheet also shows very little signs of age with just light age yellowing to the edges.
The vinyl shows very little signs of being played with just a couple of visible spindle marks on the labels, we have play tested just to hear the difference in the mixes, and can confirm it sounds brilliant.
Regarded as a thrash metal classic and an album that gave prominence to extreme metal.
