position as one of the preeminent American singers of the decade.
Linda had already been a member of LA folk-rock group the Stone
Poneys ('Different Drum') and recorded two solo albums when in 1971
she linked up with Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Bernie Leadon and Randy
Meisner (soon to become the Eagles) to record Linda Ronstadt. It was
a significant release in the early growth of the Californian country rock
movement. Under the direction of ace producer Peter Asher and
multiinstrumentalist Andrew Gold, 'Heart Like a Wheel' became a
massive seller, reaching #1 in 1975 as did the memorable singles
'You're No Good' and 'When Will I Be Loved?'. They are the
centrepieces of one of the most popular albums of the 1970s. This
<b>deluxe edition</b> includes three <b>rare bonus tracks</b>:
the non-LP single B-side 'Can it be True' plus 'Living like a Fool' and
'He Darked the Sun' from a 1969 Record Plant session, released on
