SYD BARRETT The Madcap Laughs (Second issue 1970 UK 13-track vinyl LP, on the Harvest label with 'Gramophone Co' perimeter text and EMI box. Syd's debut solo album finally appeared two years after leaving Pink Floyd, with Dave Gilmour and Roger Waters producing. This is a brilliant but brittle album, with every strum of the electric guitar seeming to take its toll on Barrett's increasingly frayed nerve strings, housed in a front laminated gatefold picture sleeve. The sleeve displays some mild general wear, the labels have light spindle marks and the vinyl has minimal signs of play SHVL765).
