FU-SCHNICKENS Nervous Breakdown (Limited
Edition 2026 UK/EU 11-track LP pressed on 180
Gram Black Vinyl)
The 1994
sophomore album from the Brooklyn hip hop trio, following
their debut F.U.: Don'tTake It Personal. When the
group emerged in 1992, they brought a unique style that
combined high-speed rapping, dancehall chatting and
backward rhymes with Looney Tunes-inspired voice
impressions and craftily arranged grooves. This second
release proved the Fu-Schnickens could deliver the goods,
showing improved lyrical maturity among all three members,
most noticeably Chip Fu, whose hyperactive flow carries more
hilarious, colorful cartoon imagery than ever.
From
the opening track, 'Breakdown', on, this is a frenzied,
fast-paced roller coaster ride of originality that does not let
up until the last song ends. The album reached the nineteenth
spot on the R&B Albums chart and managed to break the
Billboard Album charts. Includes 'Sum Dum Munkey' and
'What's Up Doc? (Can We Rock?)'.
