PAUL CARRACK Collected (Limited Edition 2026 UK/EU
27-track double album 2-LP compilation pressed on 180-gram
audiophile Black Vinyl. Paul Carrack has spent a
career largely behind other people's names, writing "How
Long" for Ace, singing lead on "Tempted" during a
brief spell in Squeeze after replacing Jools Holland,
and fronting Mike & The Mechanics alongside
Genesis's Mike Rutherford on "The Living Years" and "Silent
Running." He also wrote "I Don't Want to Hear Anymore" for
the Eagles, recording his own version first with Don Henley
and Timothy B. Schmit singing backing vocals, two years
before the Eagles released their own recording as a single
from Long Road Out of Eden. Carrack has said the
song's chorus melody came to him fully formed, joking that
he doubted any radio DJ would want to play a song with a title
like that. This collection also includes his solo hit "Don't Shed
a Tear" and his duet with Paul Young on "Don't Dream It's
Over." This edition is presented in a gatefold picture sleeve,
with insert and gold hype sticker. Recommended).
